Cóbano3 nights4.0 star property9.6/10 - Exceptional (100 reviews)"Stayed in the Estrella room, it was beyond beautiful. Long scenic walk to the room, kitchenette, and filtered water in the full sized fridge. Staff was very kind and helpful, since the hotel was 6 hours from SJO we had to leave at 4 am and to our surprise there was a staff member there to assist with checkout. There are no key drop-boxes, so I was worried about how we were going to return it. Overall an amazing stay."Reviewed September 26, 2026Roundtrip • Toronto (YTO) - Cóbano (ACO)YYZ - SJO • Nonstop SJO - YYZ • NonstopCA $1,340CA $986found 1 day agoper traveller - Tango Mar Beachfront Boutique Hotel & Villas

Tambor Tropical - Adults Only
Tambor Tropical - Adults Only"Beautiful rooms and area. Lovely and quiet. One note to mention, the beach across the road is not the crystal blue waters as the sand is dark. It’s also a busy area for fishing so we didn’t swim. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance and a great grocery store. "

"It was exactly as it was listed. Thank goodness for the fan in the room, otherwise no AC was rough. Great area to walk around and explore local stores and sodas. The owner was so helpful and nice! The shared shower was clean, wish there were more places to hang your things though. Requesting bfast was odd bc you had to go find her, I felt weird getting into her person home space. One night she locked the gate on my partner as he was out exploring the town late at night, thought that was odd,...
